FROM THE LABEL: "Water, malted barley, hops, yeast, and that's all. Malt and hops are beautifully married in this copper- red pale ale. Generously hopped for a long spicy denouement. GOLD MEDAL- STOCKHOLM 2000, DENVER 2000."

FROM THE MOUTH: PALE ALE:

de·noue·ment
a. The final resolution or clarification of a dramatic or narrative plot.
b. The events following the climax of a drama or novel in which such a resolution or clarification takes place.
c. The outcome of a sequence of events; the end result.

Were you not wondering what denouement meant! What were they thinking- especially after they were so straight forward with the label- a red seal! Back to the beer. More on the hoppy side, not malty so the hops are overpowering and sort of burn like pepper on the tongue. Wonder if that is the 'spice' they are talking about? not for the hoppy timid. A-
