BUFFALO IPA

236 BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL

May 9, 2012 (Wednesday)
BUFFALO IPA
Flying Bison Brewing Co.
+++++

FROM THE LABEL: "Buffalo IPA is a combination of two big classic IPA styles, English and American. We use English Pale malts as a base for a firm backbone and sold platform to accept plenty of hops. Then we layer three different West Coast U.S. hop varieties. First we add plenty of bitterness to balance the malt then lots of fresh hoppy flavor and finally we finish with a Galaxy hop for  bright, citrusy bouquet you'd expect from an IPA. We're not trying to blow your head off with IBU's of bitterness ,we're trying to excite your senses with long lasting smells and flavors. Flying Bison uniting the world one beer at a time. Happy Hopping."

FROM THE MOUTH: INDIA PALE ALE: 'trying to blow your head off with IBU's' .....is exactly what this beer is doing. It is all hops and all bitterness. It is a bit too intense for me because the hops are too overpowering and it doesn't end well. C
