FROM THE MOUTH: AMERICAN DOUBLE/IMPERIAL IPA: Wasn't expecting the light golden amber color, looks like a wheat beer. Aroma: no surprises here- pine resins and citrus. Taste: remember that commercial about Grape Nuts back in the late 60's early 70's...."ever eat a pine tree?" Well this is it. Slight bit of malt/citrus followed by chewy/ sappy/ pine tar all rolled up with a nice warm alcohol trunk - lovely! A
