Santa Fe Brewing Co.

FROM THE LABEL: "Using only the finest ingredients: Water, malted barley, whole flower hops and yeast."

FROM THE FROSTED MUG (amazingclubs.com): "The Santa Fe Pen Porter is the trademark beer of the company's brewer, Ty Levis. Flavorful, with notes of nuts and chocolate, it is incredibly easy to drink. The brew won the 2012 Best of the Rockies/Southwest Region Winter tasting at the U.S. Beer Tasting Championship, amongst other awards."

FROM THE MOUTH:What is PORTER ALE I was asking myself? Both Porters and Ales are 'top' yeast fermented, oh well. Very flavorful - must be on your toes to distinguish the fine flavors. I was trying really hard to taste the chocolate but it wasn't there for me, mostly tasting the smooth blend of malt nicely moving into some powerful hop layering. A

FROM THE STORE: Beer tonight is compliments of my daughter, Whitney Evers. This is a gift from www.amazingclubs.com
