Notes from beeradvocate:Classified as a German Altbier by the Widmer Brothers; brewed with an (ale) Alt yeast strain.
FROM THE MOUTH: ALTBIER: Aroma: some malt and mild citrus. Taste has some nice malt going on with a bit of a nutty/bready undertone. I like the caramel flavor with a floral/earth light bitter ending. Slight metallic taste. Nice mouthfeel- crisp with a medium carbonation. Nothing that will knock your socks off but it is an enjoyable easy drinking beer. B+
