FROM THE LABEL: "New Belgium's employee owners would love to have you stop by the brewery. 500 Linden, Fort Collins, CO.80524  (888) NBB-4044. New Belgium Company is wind powered and employee owned. Savor the flavor."

Notes from the beeradvocate:Pleasantly hoppy, Snow Day carries the subtle chocolate and caramel flavors of a new brewing malt known as Midnight Wheat. The Styrian Golding, Centennial and Cascade hops bring the backbone of hoppy bitterness to complement the roasty undertones. This beer is the deep garnet of a roasted walnut and presents a creamy tan head, floating artfully atop. Snow Day is bold and hoppy, drinkable and strong.

FROM THE MOUTH: AMERICAN BLACK ALE: Aroma- coffee/toffee. Taste is bitter coffee/bitter chocolate but to be honest it tastes a bit like a watered down porter- but perhaps that is what ABA's are? Nice bitter hop presence hiding in the bitter coffee/chocolate/toffee front. Great winter beer. A-

FROM THE STORE: From a friend, thanks Steve.
