MAREDSOUS TRIPLE

190 BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL

June 24, 2012 (Sunday)
MAREDSOUS TRIPLE
ALE 11.2 FL.OZ., 10% ALC./VOL.
Brewed and Bottled by Duvel Moortgat, Puurs, Belgium

FROM THE LABEL: "Maredsous Triple is a high fermentation abbey beer, brewed in accordance with the Benedictine tradition of the community of Maredsous Abbey. The beer is refermented in the bottle during the two month ageing period. Maredsous triple should ideally be served at a temperature of 6-10C/42-50F. Contains barely malt.  Abbaye de Maredsous- Rue de Maredsous 11-B5567 Denee."

FROM THE MOUTH: ABBEY TRIPLE:  First sip is heavy malt sweet followed by heavy cherries- sort of feels like whiskey going down, but without the cough.  I am thinking I don't care as much for the 'bottle conditioned' beers, perhaps it is the yeast. Worth trying but not my favorite. B

FROM THE STORE: Huckleberry's
